I had to pick were I would go if I had a south island trip here it is hope you like it

here was my task Research, and detail for the class, a legendary location from human history.
This must be a legend told through human history, and so cannot be a newly made-up location. Tell us about how it became famous, its features, any legendary explorers to have searched for it, its purpose (if any), any legendary stories connected to it, it's supposed location, and the point in time it was meant to have existed.
