why children shouldn't be able to vote

Why children shouldn't be able to vote Imagine if children were free to vote for who and what they wanted? Do you think this would be a good idea for our country? I don’t and I’m going to tell you my reasons why. Firstly, some children would obviously just pick a funny name. So, for example, if the name of the candidate was ‘Ben Dover’, most children would pick that name to be funny but he may not be the best person for the job. Secondly, they just aren’t old enough and they might just pick their favourite colour of the political party but they wouldn’t even understand what they are voting for. Finally, they would not know how to vote and they might pick the man who said, “I will give you a lollipop if you vote for me”. Instead, they need to know what they are dealing with and what each candidate is good at and planning to change. In conclusion, this is why I believe children shouldn’t vote as they just aren’t old enough, they can’t make good decisions or understand what is best for our country. Do you agree?
